Equipment, Education & Real Conversations

Crescent Healthcare provides equipment solutions backed by education, consultation, and ongoing support. Serving organisations and individuals across Australia, we remain guided by our purpose: supporting you, to support others, ensuring care teams are equipped with the confidence and resources they need to deliver high-quality care every day.

Prescribing and recommending equipment across aged care, NDIS, and compensable care environments is rarely straightforward. Clinicians are often balancing complex client needs, multiple funding pathways, and evolving best practice within the pressures of day-to-day clinical work. The Crescent Healthcare Skills Exchange Workshop has been designed to provide space for exactly this challenge: stepping away from the desk to engage in practical learning, open discussion, and real-world problem solving.

We invite you to the Skills Exchange Workshop, an event that brings together Occupational Therapists, Support Coordinators, and care teams from across Central Gippsland and surrounding regions, and focuses on hands-on education, clinical reasoning, and meaningful peer connection.

Date: Friday, 1 May 2026

Time: 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Venue: The View Function Centre, Traralgon (Central Gippsland)

A Practical, Clinically Relevant Day

The one-day workshop features a structured yet relaxed program of education sessions, live equipment demonstrations, and interactive discussions. Attendees will explore how equipment can be used effectively to support clients across a range of care environments, from long-term aged care and NDIS settings to compensable care pathways including TAC, WorkSafe, and SWEP.

Key session themes include:

  • Equipment to support functional independence in Aged Care and NDIS environments
  • Pressure injury prevention and management, including equipment selection with live demonstrations
  • Equipment supporting recovery, safety, and return to function in compensable care
  • Hygiene and personal care equipment to support dignity, safety, and carer efficiency

Throughout the day, the Crescent Healthcare team will demonstrate equipment, answer questions, and discuss prescribing considerations based on everyday client scenarios.

Learning Through Conversation – What Attendees Will Learn

A highlight of the Skills Exchange Workshop is the inclusion of facilitated Table Talk sessions. These interactive discussions give attendees the opportunity to share challenges, compare approaches, and explore practical solutions together — particularly for complex or less straightforward client needs. These sessions reinforce the value of learning from peers who face similar clinical realities.

Morning and afternoon refreshments are provided, with the day concluding with drinks and canapés, offering further opportunities to connect and network in an informal setting.
