IVEA
Overview
The IVEA replaces the standard IV pole and provides stable support during ambulation. It eliminates the need to transfer equipment from one device to another and makes it possible for one nurse to safely ambulate a patient. Developed and patented in the USA, the IVEA was designed "by nurses for nurses" for use in the medical surgery area - the majority of patient beds in most hospitals. While the names of departments may vary from one hospital to the next, areas the IVEA can benefit include Orthopedics, Post-Surgical or Surgical, Trauma, Oncology, Medical, Neuro, Cardiac, Step-Down ICU, Rehab and Aged Care.
- Mobility - The IVEA was designed to support better outcomes by improving patient mobility. This award-winning equipment is stable, adjustable and easy to maneuver.
- Efficiency - The IVEA reduces the number of caregivers need to ambulate patients and manage their equipment. With the IVEA, caregivers are expected to need less time to perform routine tasks.
- Safety - The IVEA was designed to improve safety for both patients and caregivers. It consolidates equipment on one stable platform and enables the caregiver to focus on the patient rather than the equipment.
- Storability - The IVEA folds and stores easily to help reduce clutter in halls, rooms and traffic corridors.
